Connie Britton Is Engaged to Producer David Windsor After Nearly 6 Years of Dating

Connie Britton is engaged!

The Nashville alum, 58, is set to marry her longtime love, David Windsor, has confirmed. Britton and the producer have been together for nearly six years.

Amid their engagement news, the couple was spotted at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Friday, Oct. 24. They were photographed sharing a kiss, and Britton was wearing a ring on her left-hand ring finger.

Back in March, the actress opened up about her relationship with Windsor in an interview with Parade, sharing how she knew he was “the one.”

“What I was really looking for was a partnership where there’s constant growth, on both sides, and a sort of deepening of each other,” she said.

Britton noted that it was more than just a feeling that she had found “true love”in Windsor, she had a true partner for life.

“I found somebody who I can walk on a journey with that is going to be constantly ever-changing,” she explained.

During a 2023 appearance on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, Britton shared that she and Windsor whom she called an “amazing man” at the time were set up at a friend’s 50th birthday party in late 2019. She said it was a moment she would “never forget.”

“I walked into his party and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I don’t know a single soul at this party.’ But I was like, ‘It’s OK, I just wanna celebrate him. It’s his 50th birthday.’ And so I’m talking to my friend, and he looks past me and he sees David across the room and he is like, ‘There’s someone here you have to meet,’ ” the Friday Night Lights star recalled. “And it was like, I’ll never forget that moment because I turned around and I looked at who he was pointing at and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I wanna meet him.’ “

While they didn’t end up actually meeting that night “because it was like, you know, sit-down dinner, separate tables, whatever,” the actress said — Britton told her friend to have Windsor email her. The producer was “very bold,” and reached out to her the very next day.

Sharing a few more details about Windsor on Radio Andy at the time, Britton said Windsor had been married before and has children. As for Britton, she was previously married to John Britton from 1991 to 1995. She is mom to son Yoby, whom she adopted in 2011.

Months before meeting Windsor, a then-single Britton revealed that she was getting a little matchmaking help from a fellow Hollywood star Julia Roberts.

“I’ve gotten to be friends with Julia Roberts,” she told Busy Philipps on the E! talk show Busy Tonight in January 2019. “She tried to set me up with somebody … It hasn’t worked out yet, but at least mama tried, you know what I’m saying.”
