TMZ was the first to report the news, citing law enforcement and family sources. PEOPLE has reached out to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Jenner, 75, for comment.
Hutchins was pronounced dead on the morning of Wednesday, July 2, in Malibu, Calif., the outlet reports. Hutchins was driving an ATV down a road near Jenner’s Malibu home when she crashed into the bumper of a moving vehicle carrying two passengers. The ATV was forced over the shoulder and fell 350 feet down into a ravine.
Both passengers in the other vehicle were uninjured, per TMZ.

Hutchins served as CEO and director of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation. The pair met in 2015 when Jenner announced her transition. They quickly bonded, with Hutchins later praising Jenner for pushing her to grow. Hutchins went on to appear in multiple episodes of her E! reality series I Am Cait.
“We have so much in common; we see the world so similarly and we both are such a good match for each because we challenge each other,” Hutchins once said of their relationship in an interview with The Hidden Truth with Jim Breslo. “She challenges me in so many ways, has allowed me to grow in so many ways and I hope I challenge her to grow and I think because we share so many of the same passions and views, it’s just a great match, a great partnership.”
Hutchins was a friend to the Kardashian-Jenner family, even appearing at Kylie Jenner‘s 21st birthday bash in 2018. Hutchins previously lived alongside the former Olympian in her Malibu home.
Born April 1, 1996, in Bellevue, Wash., Hutchins graduated from Pepperdine University in 2019 with a degree in economics and finance, per Deadline. She also served as founder and CEO of health technology company LUMASOL.
