The final trailer for Wicked: For Good is here and takes Dorothy and her companions to Oz, where the epic musical adventure reaches its climax.
The sequel, which hits theaters in November, picks up where the first film left off: Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda are at the center of an emotional conflict that will change the fate of Oz forever. Universal’s newly released trailer features numerous references to The Wizard of Oz including Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, who confront Jeff Goldblum’s Wizard. His demand is clear: “Bring me the Wicked Witch of the West’s broomstick so I have proof she’s dead.”
Elphaba now an outcast is also seen desperately lamenting the destructive tornado apparently conjured by Michelle Yeoh’s Madame Morrible. At the same time, Glinda experiences her iconic transformation: She receives her famous pink bubble for the first time and celebrates her love story with Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) in a wedding scene.
The trailer also features well known songs from the musical, including “Thank Goodness,” “No Good Deed,” and “For Good.”
Wicked: For Good chronicles Elphaba’s final transformation into the Wicked Witch of the West, her fragile relationship with Glinda, and the growing fear and hostility of the citizens of Oz. The trailer’s finale features a dramatic duel between the two witches, as Glinda strikes her magic wand against Elphaba’s broomstick.
Director Jon M. Chu emphasized to Entertainment Weekly last year that the second installment based on the second act of the Broadway hit is even more intense and emotionally charged than the first film.

“If Part 1 is about choices, Part 2 is about consequences,” he revealed. “Choices are difficult to make, but when you do make those choices, sometimes the result isn’t what you expect it to be. It can be lonely, it can be hard.”
Chu continued, “There’s a lot of soul searching in movie 2. They’re asking, ‘Is this the right decision that you made?’
