Grammys 2026 Nominations list: Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny & Sabrina Carpenter Score Big

The Recording Academy announced the 2026 Grammy nominations on Friday, Nov. 7

The nominations for the 2026 Grammys are in.

On Friday, Nov. 7, the Recording Academy announced the full list of nominations for the upcoming 68th Grammy Awards, which will return once again in Los Angeles, airing live from Crypto.com Arena on Feb. 1, 2026.

This year, Kendrick Lamar scored the most nominations, with nine; Lady Gaga and producers Cirkut and Jack Antonoff followed close behind with seven apiece; Bad Bunny, Leon Thomas and Sabrina Carpenter each nabbed six; and several artists earned five, including Doechii, SZA, writer-producer Andrew Watt, Tyler, the Creator and Clipse, Pusha T & Malice.

Past Grammy winners including Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, Lizzo, Chappell Roan and Sam Smith were on hand to help announce the 2026 nominees during a livestream on Grammy.com.

This year, the Grammys introduced two new categories: Best Album Cover and Best Traditional Country Album; the previously titled Best Country Album category has been changed to Best Contemporary Country Album.

“Each year during our Awards & Nominations review, our focus is on refining our rules, uncovering anything that is no longer working, and ensuring we are celebrating our creative community in the most meaningful way,” Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. recently told Grammy.com. “I'm thrilled that many of this year's changes … allow us to honor even more creators. That's always a positive outcome for me. But even more importantly, these are much-needed updates that ensure those who are making significant contributions to the musical process are properly recognized and have the opportunity to be celebrated on Music's Biggest Night.”

Some artists with notable album releases this year, such as Taylor Swift and Lily Allen, are absent from the list this year; however, that is because their projects were released after the eligibility window, which was Aug. 31, 2024 – Aug. 30, 2025. Recording Academy members will vote for the 2026 winners between Dec. 12, 2025 and Jan. 5, 2026.
